Stephen Ralph
Litigation
Stephen qualified with Payne Hicks Beach in 1975. A very experienced commercial litigator, he joined Dawsons in March 2001 from his own niche litigation firm Ralph Hume Garry. He is well known and highly regarded in the field of partnership law and has appeared in Legal Business as a "highly recommended" partnership lawyer. Stephen has also been described by Roderick I'Anson Banks, the current author of Lindley & Banks on Partnership, as "particularly effective, ferocious when the need arises, he does not lose sight of the jugular or the opportunity for a quick settlement".
For many years he has appeared in the Legal 500 and Chambers Legal Directory as a noted practitioner in partnership law and in the legal business publication Legal Experts.
Stephen is both a licensed insolvency practitioner and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and sits as an arbitrator in partnership disputes. He has been involved in a number of substantial 'partnership work-outs' where he advises partners and/or creditors in relation to partnership solvency issues. He has also acted on a number of high profile white collar crime matters including, most notably, Guinness and Maxwell.
