Dawsons has kick-started a recruitment campaign with the appointment of Jill Andrew as an employment consultant. Andrew joins the City firm's employment practice from employment boutique Archon Solicitors, where she was a partner. Dawsons head of employment Jo Keddie said Andrew's appointment would add depth to the team, adding: "this is very much a team player role. Jill has some good-quality clients..." Andrew told The Lawyer: "Part of what I'll be doing is working on developing the way employee law services are provided and that's a great opportunity." Keddie said the hire came as the employment practice enters a phase of renewed growth. "We've seen an increase in work across all areas," she said. "There are boardroom disputes, with chief executives being ousted, and banks making major culls." Keddie said 90 per cent of the firm's employment work had been referred to it by FTSE250 and Square Mile companies. "We have an advance in that we have a proven track record of taking on those tough cases,"....
