Suzanne Kingston - Family Law

Suzanne studied law at Durham University and qualified in 1986. She subsequently worked in Oxford for 15 years building up an extremely busy family law practice before joining Dawsons in 2001.

Suzanne is widely known for her expertise in all aspects of family work, in particular the resolution of complex financial issues for high net worth individuals.  Suzanne’s cases often have an international element and she has considerable experience in dealing with pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation issues.  As a member of the Children Panel, Suzanne has dealt with numerous cases involving complicated Children Act issues as well as both child abduction work and adoption. She is an accredited Resolution Mediator and has a thriving mediation practice having recently undertaken a number of referrals under the Court of a Appeal Mediation Scheme.  In addition, Suzanne is a qualified Collaborative lawyer and trains collaborative law for Resolution. Suzanne is also a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Suzanne lectures extensively – most recently being a guest speaker at the Barclays Wealth Conference in Lake Como, lecturing to 75 trustees in Jersey for JATCo and speaking at the Tolleys / Lexis Nexus Conference.  Suzanne has had numerous articles published as well a being quoted extensively in various newspapers. In Chambers 2008 Suzanne Kingston was “…admired by clients for her constructive approach, her end goal strategic thinking and her remarkable knowledge of foreign jurisdictions”.  In the Legal 500 Suzanne was “…praised for her positive energy”.
